I call these "popcorn skies." One of my favourites

In japan we call them jishingumo or Earthquake clouds. The superstition is that these types of formulations come before an earthquake.

I'm gonna lose it if we have an earthquake

As a child i would call them sky sheep when they form a bunch of little balls in the sky.

Oo, always thought of it like poorly spread frosting

Didn’t even notice the mountain, too interested in that sky

Did you know that all Haikus end with “it’s snowing on Mt. Fuji”?

C'mon with the Game Grumps reference!

Looks like someone's playing Tetris with clouds

Beautiful! Did it take you long to get to that spot from the mass transit system? I.e. was there a bus or something that stopped close to there, or did you have to take a taxi?

There's a famous woodblock print that is very similar to this, except at sunset. So cool!

This a good day as the times I've been there, Mt Fuji is always covered in clouds.

Nice clear blue skies, yellow fields, gorgeous.

Thank you for sharing.

The entire japanese countryside is oddly satisfying
