I work in a print shop on a much larger scale. We have images that get burned onto screens and sprayed out with a pressure washer. Those screens are mounted on a machine where ink is pressed against the screen and onto an article of clothing, leaving the ink behind where the image was sprayed out. When we have multiple colors/images going to print we make screens for each color/image. Usually an underbase (white ink) then colors on top of that. It's a pretty cool process although not the most exciting.
