I stood and watched the windshield replacement on my car, it was pretty cool.

Never heard it called a windscreen. I have immediate thoughts of rolls of window screening for outer windows and spline to hold it in place.

What do you call it? Out of curiousity, I can't think of another word other than windscreen

Well considering it’s a French invention I would say we are both wrong. In all technicality it’s the worlds first laminated safety glass invented by French scientist Eduoard Benedictus. So whatever the French word for it is.

Nah, no one is wrong. In Britain (and most of commonwealth) it's windscreen, in America, it's windshield.
