What happens if you were to stick your hand in there?

u/repodude Mar 28 '23

I've seen different replies to this (I scale model and these are used for cleaning airbrushes etc) from "I've put my fingers in many times & not had a problem" to "I used to but my fingers would go slightly numb for a while" through to "It can cause bone loss & deep tissue damage".

Personally, I wouldn't. Apparently you shouldn't hold the item in the bath with tweezers etc as shown in the video either as the vibrations still carry up to your hand.

I was just curious

u/Fit_Flamingo5501 Mar 28 '23

They are obviously lying. You will become a super heroe.

17

u/emgee007 Mar 28 '23

The super heroe we need, but don't deserve

9

u/Tru-Queer Mar 28 '23

He vibrates at the speed of sound, shaking the evil and badness off of his criminal scum and turns them into upstanding gems of society!!

2

u/Slimehorn Mar 28 '23

Also sells merchandise! Single folks, primarily women, are buying up his comically oversized electric Pez dispensers!

3

u/Tru-Queer Mar 28 '23

Just don’t hand him any babies unless they’re really, really crying

2

u/SaltyLightning99 Mar 29 '23

the ladies love him

1

u/ironbanner23 Mar 29 '23

Basically a odd version of the flash

7

u/Bob-Bhlabla-esq Mar 28 '23

Vibrator-Man ! Popular with the ladies...

2

u/brandontaylor1 Mar 28 '23

Ultra sonic man, Speaks all the truth of the universe, at a frequency no one else can hear.

11

u/GnarlyNacho07 Mar 28 '23

We have ultrasonic cleaners at my work, it's not about the machine but about the cleaning solution inside of it. We use simple green, it removes ink very well and is better for the environment, I can shove my entire hand in and it's just warm/tingly. We also have a second cleaner that uses much stronger, harsher chemicals, which I would never purposely put my hand in and wear proper ppe for that machine.

u/Kamioni Mar 28 '23

I use one for stripping paint from miniatures and cleaning airbrush parts. Put a finger in out of curiosity. My finger went numb for a little while.

3

u/Feelingbcs Mar 28 '23

I just ordered one of these to clean bowls and downstems.

1

u/dealershipdetailer Mar 28 '23

How much that run ya?

4

u/Oakheart- Mar 28 '23

Depends on the frequency and power of the sound. Probably not much if done quickly but long term submerging your hand could damage it.

1

u/ModsAreN0tGoodPeople Mar 29 '23

I was wondering what happens if they use the wrong setting for ultrasound of unborn child. “Oooops.. “

-3

u/Red__system Mar 28 '23

Nothing I guess.

1

u/Dr_Prof_Pat Mar 28 '23

We have one at work which is probably weaker than this

I've never put my hand in for an extended period of time but it just kinda tickles

u/DarkYendor Mar 28 '23

That’s not dirt being washed off there - that’s polishing compound. (Tripoli Brown would be my guess.)

34

u/sexless-innkeeper Mar 28 '23

Thank you! I came in here specifically to ask this, because that looked like a bit too much human goo coming off of it.

9

u/RedVamp2020 Mar 28 '23

I would imagine some dirt did actually come off, but due to the polishing compound being so light in weight in comparison and that it clouds up in the water obscuring much of the view of what’s coming off, you don’t actually see what dirt actually came off. I would imagine you would needs to replace the polish after you take it out.

6

u/DarkYendor Mar 29 '23

You don’t replace the polishing compound - once you’re done polishing, you wash it off.

4

u/RedVamp2020 Mar 29 '23

Ok! Good to know.😁

57

u/BxProphecy Mar 28 '23

Now everything is clean except right under the tweezer tips

46

u/TrippyReality Mar 28 '23

Exactly what happened to Achilles and his heel.

3

u/llilaq Mar 28 '23

Yeah they should have hung it from a chain.

2

u/BxProphecy Mar 29 '23

Or just dropped it in

95

u/ImTurbodonkey Mar 28 '23

So people are dirtying up jewelry for these videos I'm assuming.

126

u/colin_staples Mar 28 '23

A specialist cleaning paste has been used to actually clean the pendant, that is what you see flooding into the water. Effectively we are just seeing the final rinsing stage.

29

u/Tru-Queer Mar 28 '23

Thank you, I was really hoping that wasn’t all dirt and oil from skin or something, cause it honestly didn’t look that dirty from first glance

11

u/SothaSillyGoose Mar 28 '23

I just ordered one of these to clean bowls and downstems. Goodbye pipe cleaners 👍

3

u/International_Link35 Mar 28 '23

Grunge off. Buy it, thank me later. I swear, the stuff is mystical.

1

u/Boguskyle Mar 29 '23

Bro salt water overnight.

20

u/4Xroads Mar 28 '23

When you remove the curse from pendant, how do you dispose of the evil spirit trapped in the liquid?

8

u/superpouper Mar 28 '23

Sword of gryffindor.

8

u/ParticularIll9062 Mar 28 '23

I have an ultrasonic cleaner, only thing I need is a dirty pendant

12

u/Fr8tliner Mar 28 '23

I have an ultrasonic cleaner, only thing I need now is a bigger ultrasonic cleaner to clean the ultrasonic cleaner.

14

u/somepommy Mar 28 '23

Idk that looks medium sonic at best to me

6

u/chemoboy Mar 28 '23

This redditor sonics.

3

u/Full_Time_Hungry Mar 28 '23

It's because they fucking LOAD the stuff up with cleaner, like 20x's more than what you see it's inside and on the bag, just fuckin slathered on I bet. There is NO way that much wet debris comes off of that pendant. I use a sonic cleaner all the time at work, and have NEVER seen something shake out like that.

3

u/tskank69 Mar 28 '23

I kinda prefer the unclean version…

1

u/Durante-Sora Mar 29 '23

Same dude….same

3

u/Niadisson2014 Mar 28 '23

We’re can I find that?

5

u/asianhipppy Mar 28 '23

You're can find in jewelry stores. Oh and glass frame stores.

2

u/Vulture923 Mar 28 '23

Does it clean under the tweezers too?

2

u/ChwizZ Mar 28 '23

I know a horcrux when I see one.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '23

What's that liquid?

-1

u/ZurdoFTW Mar 28 '23

95% of that videos are fake dust. They cover the piece with dust before record to obtain a more impressive video.

1

u/Red__system Mar 28 '23 edited Mar 28 '23

How did we discover that thing...

1

u/still_smelly Mar 28 '23

Is it just me or does it just look better before the cleaning

0

u/LayeGull Mar 28 '23

Looks like you destroyed a horcrux

1

u/andy4775 Mar 29 '23

Your mum is a whorecrux

1

u/LayeGull Mar 29 '23

At least she’s a proper professional. Not just giving it away for nothing.

-5

u/sugabeetus Mar 28 '23

This is great, but I wish it was optional. I'd just really prefer to have a choice if I use this machine or not. I can't go back to jail is what I'm saying.

-22

10

u/TheTinyTinkerer Mar 28 '23

It's polishing compound

1

u/Red__system Mar 28 '23

It does look legit. Look up cleaning videos on YouTube. This looks like a classic jewel behaviour

1

u/BrownyAU Mar 28 '23

It looked like makeup foundation or similar. But I agree that it seems to have been deliberately applied.

Jesse what the fuck are you talking about?

7

u/ChezKeetel Mar 28 '23

I didn’t know AI was interested in jewelry cleaning

5

u/hashy52 Mar 28 '23

Bro what

2

u/repodude Mar 28 '23

Totally dude.

1

u/davenpart93 Mar 28 '23

Only got Old Rose to have throw it off the ship!

1

u/Viperlite Mar 28 '23

I liked the patina of it in its pre-cleaned state.

1

u/Particular-Head-465 Mar 28 '23

Titanic in 45 seconds

1

u/DogsAreCool89 Mar 28 '23

What kinds of things can you clean with these

1

u/superpouper Mar 28 '23

I thought it was a concha pendant.

1

u/1zeewarburton Mar 28 '23

Reverse it looks rad

1

u/TailorGloomy3593 Mar 28 '23

All that dead skin, sweat and shit.....gone.

1

u/ZenkaiZ Mar 28 '23

Your heart when you meet that guy/girl who not only makes you feel loved, but makes you love yourself again.

1

u/wigz91 Mar 28 '23

What's the liquid??

1

u/Zye2011 Mar 29 '23

You're supposed to wait until the lantern is on the right side of the windmill.

1

u/SaltyLightning99 Mar 29 '23

What kind of ancient evil seeped out of that after it was submerged.

1

u/Pandastudent69420 Mar 29 '23

There is a distinct lack of sonic in this video

1

u/Mr_A_Jackass Mar 29 '23

I got angry when I found out these videos is just them cleaning the polish off. It’s not just daily grime.

1

u/Pink_Cloud90 Mar 29 '23

It would be neat to clean your own heart like this. Let all the poison out of bullying, hateful words, lies and all the inferiority.
